Trailriding Adventure

My sweet Aunt Renae took my daughter, Aubrey, and her two cousins, Kristine and Drewe, on a horse ride today in the nearby forest area. The girls were really excited to go and had been looking forward to it for days.

Getting the horses brushed and ready to go.

Kristine's horse, Bullet.

Drewe's horse, Lady.

Aunt Renae getting her horse, Chato, ready to go. He's half mustang.

Arriving at the trailhead.

The girls are ready to go! But, wait, aren't you forgetting something?.....

.......Oh, that's right, your riding helmets! (Per request by Kristine's mom, Penni, due to some previous "accidents.")

Off they go, almost.

Gotta get a group photo first.

This is one of my favorite spots on this particular trail...it's so pretty. I love riding between those two rock walls.

Half way through the ride the group stopped to eat some food.

Aubrey said that a cow came up behind them and Kristine was afraid that it wanted to eat her fish crackers.

The horses seem to be happy and relaxed during the break as well.

The pinnacle of the journey - the top of the mountain!
It's all down hill from there, literally.

Thank you so much Renae for taking the girls! You are wonderful.
