Military Family Camp

We just got home from a wonderful weekend attending a Military Family Camp put on by Operation Military Kids for families of deployed soldiers. We had a fabulous time! The theme was "Super Heroes" this year.  Lots of activities to keep us busy, dear friends to share the whole experience with, gorgeous views, and not having to cook a single meal for three days!    Totally worth it.

Trip Highlights:
*Spending time with Julie, Katie, and their kids.
*Morning Wake-Up Bell at 7 AM (fun)
*Singing the Star Spangled Banner each morning during flag ceremony.
*Getting a "cricket" (green clothes pin) stuck to my shirt and having to do something to entertain everyone at breakfast.
*Katie unenthusiastically getting a cricket too....she sooo did not want to get up and do something. :)
*Doing yoga and the male instructor being um, very helpful with our positions.
*Archery, shooting, making super hero costumes.
*Playing "Zoom, Erk" game during evening campfire.
*Ronin spontaneously performing a puppet show all by himself for everyone.
*Families teamed up playing volleyball: Villians vs. Superheroes.
*Rigdon sleeping much better the second night.
*Seeing a beautiful 5 point buck run through a pasture, jump a fence, and run right across the road behind us on the way home. He didn't get hit, phew!
