Father 'n Sons Outing

Loads of stuff has happened since Jed has been home.  We reserved many activities until he could be with us and now I am way behind on writing about them.

First off, two days after Jed arrived, he took Connor and Ronin to an annual church sponsored event called "Father and Sons Outing."  This is when all the dads in our ward take their boys out camping at a quiet, remote park for one night.

Connor set up the tent all by himself.

We-just-woke-up picture:
I'm having a hard time seeing Jed actually being able to fit in this tiny tent, surely his feet had to of been sticking out all night.

This was Ronin's first time coming to this event.  In the past, Jed's always been gone training or working, so Ronin was super excited to get to do this.

The night was chilly, but it didn't stop Ronin from snoring all night long.  :)

The next morning a flag ceremony was held.  Jed was asked to give a few words about patriotism.  From what I heard by other people, he gave a great talk.  Wished I could have been there to hear it.

The event was a success with 19 pitched tents in all, the ward's largest attendance in recent years.  That's a lot of men and boys running around together.  It also gave Jed the opportunity to catch up with some of his friends.
