Ronin's First Baseball Game

Ronin had his first baseball game yesterday. It was so much fun to watch. Ronin was nervous at first but ended up really getting into the game. I posted a ton of photos of him because I thought he just looked so cute in everything he did. (You'll have to excuse me, the mom in me can really come out sometimes.)

WARMING UP BEFORE THE GAME

SMACK! (I love his face when he's batting...so cute.)

Ronin's fan club.

Getting ready to start.

I love this one - completely unaware he's getting his picture taken.

Ronin's dad and brother, Rigdon.

GAME ON.

First time up to bat...check it out - his eyes are fixed on that ball. He swung but missed on this one.

Trying it again.

Making his way around the bases.

One of his teammates hits the ball and Ronin is on his way to home base.

Run, Ronin, run! You can see his family watching in the background.

Scoring his first run. Woo Hoo!

Ronin's favorite position - catcher. He looked so little squatting on the ground like that...so cute.

Why is it one of my kids always has to pull a face?

Grandma Hansen made it to the game. Cheering Ronin on.

Watching the ball being pitched.

Here it comes and Ronin's going for it.

Running and making it to first base.

Safe.....and ready to run again.

Going for third base.

At third base and waiting for another hit.

Going for home!

Playing outfielder.

Next in the batting line-up.

Running bases for the third time...heading to 3rd base.

Hanging out on third base with his friend, Brayden, from the other team. They had a few minutes to play around with each other before Ronin took off for home.

Ronin played the pitcher position for the last inning. He ended up catching a pop fly ball for the third out and ending the game. Here Coach Pfannenstiel is congratulating Ronin on his play. For anyone on the team who catches a fly ball, they get a candy bar...so Ronin was the first one to get an extra sweet treat.

Game Over.

If the look on Ronin's face says anything, I think he loved playing in his first baseball game ever.

Three hits, three scores, and catching a pop fly. Good job, Ronin!
