Connor had his Scout Pinewood Derby last week. He decided he wanted his car to be a tank this year. Ok, so we knew this design definately wasn't the most aerodynamic way to go, but Connor wanted to do something new and different this year. I guess we were going more for presentation and looks over efficiency and speed this time around.
Connor and his "tank" car. I thought it turned out really cool.
Connor and his dad are ready to race!!

Just a few last minute adjustments before the race.

Connor with some of his scout friends - checking out each other's cars.
It's time! Putting the cars on the track.

Connor and his brother, Ronin, watching as the cars are released and heading down the track.

Lined up for the next race.

Connor's "tank" placed second in some of the races but in the end he got pushed out of the top three spots. Connor was a little bummed for not doing as well as he had in the past but he showed great sportsmanship and had a fun time anyway.
