Family Picnic & Hike

Wow, I'm super behind with all that's been going on in our family.  But here's a start.  :P

The day before Independence Day, we spent the day with my side of the family again.  We ate lunch and went for a hike.  Lot's of fun.  :)  Here's a ton of photos from the day:

THE HIKE:

It was a really hot day, so the kids cooled off in the creek.

 On the way back to the trailhead, we stopped back at the creek to cool off again.

4th of July Celebration - Part 1

We started the 4th of July off by playing at a water park during the afternoon with my extended family. :)  It was a perfect day to be there - sunny, hot, and not a lot of people.

Can't forget the sunscreen.

Holy Cow!  That sunscreen spray comes out so cold!

 We were so glad to have them come visit us for a week. Since we don't get to see them very often, their visits are a special treat for us. :)

My parents were there too.  We wished the Palumbo family were here to join in on the fun.

Jed was there for only about the first hour before he had to leave for work.  But he took advantage of the time by helping Connor go through a practice run of the scout swimming skills test he will have to do next week at Scout Camp.

 My poor legs haven't seen the light of day since last summer, lol.  Anyone need some sunglasses?

Meanwhile, the older kids were zooming down the waterslides.

Rigdon found someone new to tease other than Aubrey.

Afterwards, we headed to my brother's house and had a BBQ.
